2026.01: Our proposal titled as A Multi-Agent Debate Framework with Mixture-of-Experts and Retrieval-Augmented Counter Generation for Multimodal Misinformation Mitigation (a collaboration with Prof. Sriparna Saha) has been accepted by the LOTUS Program.

2025.12: II-Research group members (Haitao Yu, Yating Zhang, Kaipeng Li, and Yubo Fang) will attend SIGIR-AP 2025. Their participation included presenting a full research paper and a workshop paper, as well as organizing the R3AG 2025 workshop.

2025.05: Our task proposal titled as Fact-based Event-centric Human-value Understanding has been accepted as an NTCIR-19 “Pilot Task” FEHU.
2025.04 - 2026.03, Prof. Haitao is on sabbatical leave, visiting the WINGS group at National University of Singapore and the Representation Learning Lab at Westlake University.
2025.03: The Prof. Tian Bai from Jilin University visited the II research group.

2024.09: The Prof. Xin Kang from Tokushima University visited the II research group.
2024.07: The Prof. Adam Jatowt from University of Innsbruck, Deputy director Kyoung-sook Kim and Chief Senior Researcher Xin Liu from AIST (National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology) visited the II research group.

2023.08: The Prof. Joemon Jose from the School of Computing Science, University of Glasgow visited II research group.
2023.07: The visiting team (6 faculty members and 8 students) from the School of Information Management, Wuhan University visited II research group.

2022.09: Naoya Muramatsu's journal paper titled as Combining Spiking Neural Networks with Artificial Neural Networks for Enhanced Image Classification has been accepted by the IEICE Transactions Online.
2022.08: Lirong Zhang's short paper (Main supervisor: Hideo Joho, Vice-supervisor: Haitao Yu) titled as Selectively Expanding Queries and Documents for News Background Linking has been accepted by CIKM2022.
2022.07: Dr. Haitao Yu's research has been reported by University of Tsukuba's research news: Find What You're Looking for with Probabilistic Result Diversification

2021.12: Dr. Haitao Yu's full paper titled as Optimize What You Evaluate With: Search Result Diversification Based on Metric Optimization has been accepted by the top international AI conference AAAI-2022 (acceptance rate 15%=1349/9251 submissions).
2021.02: Naoki Muramoto has been awarded the Dean of The Graduate School's Award.

2020.09: Naoki Muramoto has been awarded the ACM SIGIR Student Travel Grant at ACM CIKM2020.
2020.07: Naoki Muramoto's short paper has been accepted by CIKM2020 (acceptance rate 26%=103/397 submissions).
2020.04: The name of the lab is renamed as II-Research, namely Information Intelligence Research, on April 1^st, 2020.
